6 Months Old!!

Aaron turned 6 months on Thursday! It is so amazing to me that I have a baby that is already half a year old. It is still so amazing to me that I have a child! He has been such a blessing to Darrell and I and to our extended family. He has such a great little personality and is a joy to be around. You can't help but smile and laugh when you spend time with him. 

 He is almost always smiling. Even though he doesn't sleep very much, he is happy and excited to be up. He is actively engaged in his surroundings and never wants to miss a thing. 

 Although he loves to interact with everything and everyone, he is also content to sit and play with his hands or his toys. He can entertain himself so that I can get more things accomplished during the day. He also has the most beautiful eyelashes and lovely dark eyes. He already loves to flirt with the ladies and gets this adorable bashful look. He's gonna be a heartbreaker. 

 Aaron loves to smile for the camera. He knows what to do when I say "Smile!" and gives me the biggest grin even when a binkie is blocking most of it! Aaron is close to crawling and loves going from sitting position to being on all fours but he's struggling a little with moving arms and legs forward at the same time. He laughs when he does a face plant though, so I don't think he's too frustrated at his inability to motor around. 

Aaron spends almost every second of every day with me, and I love him. It's a wonderful feeling to have such a cute little being love you so much. I am grateful for all the smiles he spreads and for his loving touch on my face, even when his hand is actually just heading over to pull my hair. Aaron is a sweetheart and I cannot wait for him to watch over and protect his future little siblings because I know he will be a great eldest brother, just like his namesake. Darrell and I are both in love with this little (big) guy and are grateful he chose to join our little family. His 6 month appointment is in two weeks but I think he is about 22 pounds!! How crazy is that? He's a sturdy little dude and I know Darrell is so excited to teach him how to throw some wicked curveballs in just a few short years.
